London 18th July – Andy Murray will be honoured with a stamp set for the second time in his life. From the 8th of August the Royal Mail will release these commemorative stamps in order to mark Murray’s epic win in Wimbledon. Murray was the first British tennis player to win the Wimbledon title beating Novac Djokovic, since Fred Perry’s victory in 1936. Murray’s special stamp set will be collectible and will portray the player with his cup and other two action shots. “His historic win at Wimbledon has made the nation proud, and we can now celebrate his success with this new stamp issue.” Said a Royal Mail officer.
